When a brand embodies both the strength of a mountain and the richness of the earth, it deserves a visual identity that reflects that story with clarity, elegance, and authenticity. This is exactly what we set out to create with Semeru Coffee — a specialty coffee brand inspired by the soul of Mount Semeru, one of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanoes.

At Culasatu Creative, we were entrusted with developing a brand identity that feels grounded, natural, and timeless — just like the coffee itself.

🌋 Inspired by Nature and the Mountain Itself

The core of this branding project lies in its symbolism.

The logo design merges the silhouette of Mount Semeru with a coffee bean — a subtle but powerful visual metaphor that reflects the brand’s origin and product. It’s more than a logo — it’s a statement about place, passion, and purpose.

The typography is modern yet soft, using rounded edges to evoke a sense of warmth, accessibility, and flow — balanced with the strength of the icon above it.

🎨 Color Palette: Earthy, Warm, and Refined

Color plays a huge role in shaping how people feel about a brand. For Semeru Coffee, we developed a three-part color palette inspired by the earth, volcanic soil, and roasted coffee tones:

1. Soft Earth (HEX #E2DBC9)
   A light, calming beige that gives the brand a sense of openness and calm. Ideal for packaging backgrounds and website layouts.

2. Olive Ground (HEX #827A63)
   A muted olive tone that brings balance and sophistication. Often used in menus, labels, and printed collateral.

3. Deep Roast (HEX #473917)
   A rich, dark brown that evokes roasted beans and volcanic rock. This color anchors the brand visually, used in logos and accents.

Each shade was chosen for its natural harmony and emotional warmth — communicating quality, heritage, and comfort.

The Semeru Coffee branding is designed to be highly adaptable, working well across:
